We'll figure out how to customise and adapt them to your company's specific situation. Are you an expert operator of a highly efficient "feature factory"? — If so, this is for you!As a result of these sessions, expect to be able to achieve these results:

  • Reposition your department as a Profit Centre, rather than be treated as a Cost Centre.

  • Identify the right things to work on in order to drive impactful business outcomes and to improve meaningful metrics.

  • Demonstrate your department's direct contribution to achieving the company's business goals.

  • Drastically reduce the effort your department is asked to waste on features that have questionable business value.

  • Measure and improve your department's efficiency in terms of business value rather than "velocity".

... by learning how to operate more strategically:

  • Translate business goals into strategies, and finally into tech initiatives.

  • Refocus on impact, business value and outcomes rather than output — plan and prioritise based on anticipated impact rather than decibels (whoever shouts loudest).

  • Change perspective to budgeting effort (fixed timeline) rather than estimating timelines (prone to overruns).

... and by learning how to improve your tactical execution:

  • Learn how to use "business impact categories" when planning your iterations to ensure that you balance competing business needs appropriately.

  • Acquire the capability to measure leading and lagging indicators.

  • Adapt your issue tracker (e.g., JIRA) to factor in expected impact or outcomes, and to track success afterwards, in order to develop insights and readjust your process.

  • Slice stories ruthlessly but effectively for making constant progress.

What it Includes:

  • A weekly 90 minute session for 1 person, for a duration of 3 months.

  • Email support in between sessions.

  • Decisions — improve the quality of your decisions, the speed with which you make them, and your confidence in them.

  • Alignment — align better with the CEO and other department heads by deepening your understanding of what they are trying to achieve, and by representing your department optimally.

  • Scale Up — enable your department to scale up smoothly by instituting necessary processes and optimising existing ones, for maximum internal empowerment and minimum bureaucracy.

  • Leadership — improve your abilities and confidence as a leader vs. a manager of your department and of the company.

  • Accountability — I will be your accountability partner, and help you uncover the root cause of why you are maybe not making progress in some directions.

What it Includes:

  • A weekly 1 hour session for 1 person, for a duration of 3 months.
